Sanctum Soho Hotel, Warwick St,London

This is the third project we have undertaken for this client. We have received planning permission and the project is now on site and under construction.

The site consists of two finely crafted period buildings, one of which is grade II listed. It is located in the heart of Soho and much of our research has been based on the architectural context of the area.

We are converting the buildings from their current use as office space into a boutique hotel. The period facades will be retained, whilst a new steel framed structure is added behind them, to allow common floor levels for both buildings. A new roof storey will also be constructed. We are seeking innovative solutions to make the building more efficient and are currently investigating a number of energy solutions including ground source heat pump technology.

The hotel is designed to the highest specification. It will host public functions on the ground and basement floors where there will be a restaurant, bar and preview cinema. The thirty private rooms are situated above and a spa will be constructed in the roof storey along with other outdoor facilities.
